- Our goal is to improve student reading growth and proficiency for every student, by providing targeted instruction, interventions, and extensions. Our paraprofessionals would provide additional support to teachers and students in order to meet all of their needs. Salaries/benefits/people hired put in Trustlands budget. Went over reading scores – Acadience & RISE
- TSSA
- $100,000 budget
- $15,000 math & reading software
- $20,00 PD – 2 days subs during the school year
- $10,000 AIM – BTS
- $5,000 school counselor intern

- Front parking lot in the morning – speeding
- Parking lot design
- Concerns about dogs. Keeping dogs off the back lawn.
- Attendance Policy
- Track Fridays? With it being a short day.
- Cell Phone/Watch Policies
- District Policy is vague. We need a DCES policy. Teacher needs to be involved or aware of parent/student communication from school. When are they a problem? When is it appropriate to use them? What happens when students do use them? Students need permission to call home, even on their phones?
- Discuss attendance and cell phone/watch policy at the May 10th 12:15pm general PTA meeting.

Council Responsibilities
Our School Community Council is primarily responsible for the creation of our School LAND Trust Plan. This plan is created annually by analyzing our school testing data to determine the greatest academic need. The money our school receives from the School LAND Trust fund is allocated according to our plan. Plans are written to help meet the needs of each student. Our school is grateful for the School LAND Trust program and the opportunity we have as a school to allocate the funds to support our targeted and specific needs. The Council assists with school improvement, and make decisions on how to best spend the Trust LANDS funding. More information regarding the work of the Council can be found by visiting the School LAND Trust Website: https://schools.utah.gov/schoollandtrust
Snapshot of council responsibilities:
- Review school U-PASS data. U-PASS is a series of student tests. Councils should review group results but individual data should not be shared. Other assessments may also be reviewed
- Develop a School Improvement Plan
- Develop a School LAND Trust Plan
- Participate in the development of the Professional Development Plan
- Develop a Child Access Routing Plan
- Advise the school administration on local school issues
- Provide an opportunity for issues of concern in the community to be presented to the school administration
- Develop a Reading Achievement Plan
